vpn-forge

Web-based VPN connection manager — part of the Forge Suite by dev-boffin-io.

Supported VPN Types

Type Tool Used
WireGuard wg-quick up/down
OpenVPN openvpn --daemon
NetworkManager VPN nmcli con up/down

Features

  • WireGuard: auto-detect /etc/wireguard/*.conf, connect/disconnect, live wg show status
  • OpenVPN: auto-detect /etc/openvpn/**/*.conf + ~/*.ovpn, connect/disconnect, log viewer
  • NetworkManager: list + connect/disconnect all NM VPN connections
  • Network interfaces list with state + addresses
  • Routing table viewer
  • Public IP checker (api.ipify.org)
  • Action log with timestamps
  • Auto-refresh every 15 seconds

Install

pip install flask

Run

python app.py --host 0.0.0.0 --port 5053

WireGuard commands require sudo.
Add passwordless sudo for wg-quick:

your_user ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: /usr/bin/wg, /usr/bin/wg-quick
