mail-forge

Web-based SMTP email tester & sender — part of the Forge Suite by dev-boffin-io.

Features

  • Send tab — compose and send via any saved SMTP profile (To/Cc/Bcc, plain or HTML)
  • SMTP Profiles tab — multiple profiles with STARTTLS/SSL, test connection button
    • Passwords masked in UI, preserved on save unless changed
    • Built-in reference table: Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, SendGrid, Mailgun, Amazon SES settings
  • Templates tab — 5 built-in templates (Welcome, Password Reset, Server Alert, Invoice, Newsletter)
    • One-click "Use in Compose"
  • DNS Check tab — MX records, SPF record, DMARC record lookup for any domain
  • History tab — full send log → ~/.mail-forge-history.json

Install

pip install flask
# dig required for DNS Check tab

Run

python app.py --host 0.0.0.0 --port 5058

For Gmail, use an App Password (not your regular password) with 2FA enabled.
