firewall-forge

PyQt6 GUI frontend for ufw and iptables — part of the Forge Suite by dev-boffin-io.

Features

  • UFW Rules tab — list, add, delete rules with confirmation
  • Quick-add bar: action / direction / port / from
  • Advanced rule dialog with live command preview
  • Enable / Disable / Reload UFW
  • iptables tab — raw view for filter / nat / mangle / raw tables
  • UFW Log tab — tail /var/log/ufw.log
  • Colour-coded ALLOW (green) / DENY (red) rules

Install

pip install PyQt6

Run

python app.py

Requires sudo for ufw/iptables commands.
Passwordless sudo for ufw:

your_user ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: /usr/sbin/ufw, /usr/sbin/iptables

Platform

Linux only (ufw / iptables required)
