env-forge

PyQt6 environment variable & .env file manager — part of the Forge Suite by dev-boffin-io.

Features

  • Process ENV tab — live view of all process environment variables
    • Search/filter, mask sensitive values (PASSWORD, SECRET, KEY, TOKEN, etc.)
    • Copy selected vars as KEY=VALUE lines
  • .env Editor tab — split view: table editor + raw editor
    • Syntax highlighting (keys, values, secrets, comments)
    • Add/delete variables, enable/disable per-row
    • Auto-sync between table and raw editor
    • Open / Save / Save As
  • .env Diff tab — compare two .env files side by side
    • Shows: only in A, only in B, changed, same
  • Templates tab — generate .env starters for:
    • Node.js/Express, Django, FastAPI, Flask
    • Docker Compose, PostgreSQL, Redis, Generic API

Install

pip install PyQt6

Run

python app.py
